I've always wondered how people achieve the 'instagram eyebrows'.
Anastasia Beverly Hills eyebrow products have been all the rage,
and since I've been loving the Elf Eyebrow Kit I decided to try out the Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade.
The packaging looks nice and simple with a very decent amount of product (especially as it should be used within 6 months of opening).
However I was very surprised, and slightly disappointed, that the product is made in PRC (aka China).
I was deciding between the shades Dark Brown and Chocolate,
but Chocolate is more warm and i thought Dark Brown would be the safest option, especially since I haven't been dying my hair recently.
APPLICATION -
My friend warned me about having to use a light hand.
Agreed!
The product is very pigmented, soft, and creamy so it is easy to apply, but also easy to make mistakes and overdraw.
You definitely do not need a lot of product on the brush.
After I finished one brow and looked in the mirror, it looked like I had just used a black sharpie.
So it is very important to blend it out with a spoolie.

As i mentioned, i'm no pro at eyebrows.
But the product that I used most of the time was the Elf Eyebrow Kit (medium) with the pigmented wax and powder.
I didn't really use the powder, just mainly the pigmented wax because it would keep my brow hairs in line and also fill in any sparse areas giving a really natural finish.

I was so surprised at how quickly the Elf wax just faded/wiped off in comparison with the Anastasia pomade.
Even if I rubbed the Anastasia swatch, it didn't budge.

THE VERDICT -
It is said that the Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade is a 'highly-pigmented, fast-drying, creamy pomade that resists smudging and sliding'.
I must say, that is very accurate!
For the product, the price wasn't ridiculous and is quite worth it.
I've left the Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade on my eyebrows for the whole day with no foundation on my face, and I really like it!
The colour payoff is great and the product makes my eyebrows look structured and clean, drawing the attention away from my far from flawless skin.
Initially I thought that if I was in a rush to school or work I would probably lean towards grabbing the Elf Eyebrow Kit instead just because it isn't as pigmented so I don't have to concentrate so hard and worry about fixing up my mistakes.
However after a week of practice, I'm getting the hang of using it without looking like I've drawn on my eyebrows with a sharpie.
This is all I use for my brows now, and I'm seriously loving it!
If I want to look put together/ somewhat decent but don't really want to wear foundation or much makeup, I would definitely just apply the pomade on my brows and head out the door.
Definitely glad I tried out this product!
